Swimming

On Thursday, we went to Panmure Pool to teach us about Swimming and being safety in the water.

First, we had to swim across the pool for the warm-up and the instructors separate us to make a two groups. After that, we go to our separated groups and our instructor teach us how to go down so we know how deep it is, before we go down we need to put our hand on the side and turn around and when it is to deep we can easily go back from the side of the pool. After we learn how to go down, our instructor told us to swim without kicking it to hard and after that we need to do the floating and we need a partner so they can hold their partner while floating. Next, our instructor has a toy to throw it on the pool and we need to go swim underwater and find it. We really had fun doing swimming.

Phonics

In PBS, we invited an international musician to teach us how to play an instrument and to improve our learning about music.

Today in Phonics, we started with the 'I' sound then we make a list of all the words we could think of that had the 'I' sound in them. We then wrote our own sentences using words from our list and underlining the 'I' sound.

Coding

Today we did Tech in Tamaki College with Mr. Dunn and Ms. Munoz. So, we have our new topic about Functions which means an activity that is natural or expression involving one or more variables.
Today, we had to combine all programs such as making noise, changing colors with variables, ultrasonic sensor and moved them in circle or in a line. It was challenging because we had to combine and code them. We really had fun doing Tech with Mr. Dunn and Ms. Munoz.
